KINDERGARTEN CLASS (2008-2009)

Parents,

We are so excited to have your child in our class!  We have so many new friends to make, field trips to take, and fun things to learn about.  Your child will work on a enrichment unit each week.  Some of our units focus on :  the four seasons, plants and flowers, community helpers, Thanksgiving, the solar system, and the five senses - just to name a few!

Any class notes, other communication, or finished work will come home in your child's folder. Please make sure to check this folder every week.  It means a lot to the children when you make a big deal out of the hard work they have completed.  It is also helpful to keep you up to date on approaching field trips, assemblies, etc.

We love to celebrate your child's birthday in class!  If you wish to bring cupcakes or other treats, please try to let us know a week in advance.  This helps us plan accordingly and you can better schedule your time if you would like to be there.

Every week we have Show and Tell.  Help your child pick out something special to bring in and show everyone.  It doesn't have to be anything fancy, the children get a kick out of seeing pictures of their friend's grandparents and pets!

Your child will bring home a list of class rules on the first day of class.  Please review these rules with your child and sign the paper.  Make sure the paper is returned the next week in your child's folder.  We will go over the rules again in class the next week and want them to know each one by heart.
