Each August, Home Ed holds an annual Home Ed Kick-Off meeting. This meeting is open to all Home Ed members and prospective members - especially those new to Home Ed. Admission is free. It’s the one time each year that we try to get our large group together.

Hundreds of adults attend this parent-oriented event. During the evening, we have:

• special seminars such as:
  • New Homeschooler Orientation
  • General Questions and Answers
  • Special Needs
  • Homeschooling Through High School
• a speaker or speakers from our local homeschool group, who offer encouragement and advice about homeschooling
• an Activity Fair, where many homeschool or community organizations present homeschool-related opportunities for homeschool families
• an opportunity to visit together as a large group

Our Activity Fair is a one-stop opportunity to meet and sign up with:

• Home Ed's small groups & activities
• local homeschool-focused organizations
• local homeschool-friendly businesses
