Our newsletter, The Home Page, is our primary form of communication. The Home Page contains event information for all 3 sub-groups (Home Ed North, Home Ed Central and Home Ed Southeast) and information for the group as a whole. We use the newsletter to keep our members informed about upcoming events and activities specifically targeted to homeschoolers. The newsletter contains 8 pages of local homeschool-related events, seminars, tips, and fun.

We schedule our newsletter to be published and mailed once each month for 10 issues.

The newsletter is provided to our members only and only via postal delivery. It meets the criteria we use to determine the medium for distributing information. This criteria states that the communication must be:

• Available to all of our members.
• The most reliable method of delivery.
• Have the highest likelihood of readability.
• Must protect the privacy of our members.

The newsletter via mail meets our criteria for regular, critical communication.

• Everybody gets mail.
• The US Mail is reliable and delivers in a timely manner.
• People really do read our newsletter. Some even stick it on their refrigerators for reference.
