July 2003 Issue of Little Rock Monthly Highlights Home Ed

Little Rock Monthly is a high-quality magazine that touts itself as "a guide to the best of Central Arkansas for those who live and work here, as well as an indispensable resource for visitors and newcomers to the metropolitan hub of The Natural State. Focusing on business, the arts, cultural events, dining, travel and more, Little Rock Monthly's editorial voice consistently affirms why we're proud to call this progressive city home."

The July 2003 issue focused on "Options in Education" and we were pleased to see Home Ed highlighted. Little Rock Monthly listed Home Ed's contact information and said...

"As far as extracurricular activities, field trips and other social components, more homeschool families are joining associations that provide assistance with extracurricular and academic activities, such as Home Educators of Greater Little Rock. Coordinators Steve and Mary Sample say the group covers Little Rock, North Little Rock, Pine Bluff and many communities in-between. They currently have about 500 families in their network, and offer enrichment classes one day a week in subjects that are harder to teach at home such as art, science, chemistry lab and foreign language."
