Each year, Home Ed holds a Used Book Sale as a service to our members. This event is held in June - late enough for most families to finish with their materials for the school year, but early enough for those gathering their materials for the upcoming school year.
The location varies, but the book sale is usually held at a church that has the room to handle the large volume of items for sale. Sellers register early and get a seller number to place on their materials (so they can get credit for their sales). Sellers pay a fee to help defray the expenses of the sale - one fee for members and a slightly higher fee for non-members.
Volunteers staff the event. Sellers drop off in the morning. Buyers shop in the afternoon. Sellers make money! Buyers get great deals and a large choice of used curriculum! This is a VERY popular event!
