The Learning Disabilities Association of Arkansas is a non-profit, volunteer organization of adults, professionals and parents of children with learning disabilities. They are dedicated to assisting individuals with normal ability who manifest learning and/or attention deficits. Their purpose is to promote and support the education and general welfare of these individuals and their families through programs and services. Local meeting information and other useful content is available on their web site and through their e-mails.
NATHHAN (National Challenged Homeschoolers Associated Network) is a national organization of parents who homeschool their special needs children. They publish an Internet magazine called NATHHAN NEWS. You'll find a lot of helpful information on their web site.
Also, the Special Needs web pages of NHEN (National Home Education Network) has some useful information, including articles, web sites, message boards, suggested books, and frequently asked questions. They have sections listed on the right-hand side of the page that are specific to each special need.
