Home Educators of Greater Little Rock (Home Ed) is a local support group for Little Rock area homeschoolers. Currently, our group is made up of over 365 families and is the largest local homeschool group in Central Arkansas.
Home Ed began in 1985, when homeschooling became legal in Arkansas. We are a volunteer-led association, without office space or paid staff.
Our goal is to serve as advocates for homeschooling in providing encouragement, organizing helpful events, and communicating through up-to-date website, meetings, and weekly email updates. We offer support, information, and connection opportunities with other homeschool parents. We also have activities, events, and small groups based on interest and available leadership. These include parent support meetings, roller skating, group attendance at theater productions, field trips, Homecoming, Junior-Senior Prom, Graduation, and many more such activities.
We have an Athletic Association providing baseball, boys' and girls' basketball, girls' volleyball, cross-country, track and field, ultimate frisbee, and other sports teams.
As you look around our website, you will see information about these and other opportunities. Due to safety and privacy concerns, we have chosen to post detailed information about our activities only on our private, secure web site.
We'd be happy to answer your specific questions via email. Ongoing detailed information about our activities is available to our members via our website.
